A wonderful detective story for kids. Of course, it will interest girls more, as the main characters are girls, but I think it is not fundamental. The story teaches to be inquisitive, attentive, work in a team and go to their goal. The illustrations are very colorful and help to clearly present the characters and events of the story.

This book was a pleasure to read and it helps teach there are more types of treasure out there than "gold and riches".The storyline, friendship, and adventure keeps the tale exciting, and the girls are very bright.Its wonderful to remind younger people that sometimes the journey is more rewarding than end result.A treasure hunt, or a scavenger hunt is something that everyone can appreciate, young and old, it always captures the imagination, and the way the book ends with the lesson to learn from those that came before you, is one that everyone can learn from and admire.

Great book for those that are looking for adventure and creativity. Lots of stories to try, each with its own plot twists. I liked that my son was able to direct the story and interact with the book. My only comment is that the graphics were weak and better ones would have enhanced the experience.

The book had me in stitches. Couldn't stop laughing. Easily read in a couple of hours.

I remember the chose your own adventure books as a kid and was delighted to come across "The Island." It's put together well and written professionally. Certainly worth the read.
